Plan for the Upgradation of Minimata Govt. Girls Polytechnic, Rajnandgaon

Under the scheme of Upgradation of existing Polytechnic introduced by Central Govt. our institute identified the different thrust area and meanwhile submitted the proposal for upgrading the laboratories and workshop, learning resources and infrastructure of the institute.

Major Areas for Modernization and Strengthening of Polytechnics on Priority basis:

Modernization of Laboratories and Workshop:

To cope up the needs of today's modern technical education system the laboratories and workshop of the institute must equipped with latest instruments.

To tune practical knowledge with theory students require well equipped state of art laboratories.

Keeping in the view of the above and to enhance functional efficiency of the institute it is proposed to procure quality equipment as they become the rightful agents to develop the essential skills in the students.

The equipment procured through this scheme will also beneficial for students in imparting training in courses covered under various central and state Govt. sponsored schemes for skill development programmes.

The grant received through this scheme will be utilized strictly for the purpose as specified.

The modernization areas pertain three existing courses Modern   Office Management, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Costume Design and Dress Making. Upgradation shall help in starting new courses in forthcoming years.

The existing central computer lab has very limited physical resources. It is not up to the mark to fulfill requirements of all the disciplines in which input on subjects based on computer education are mandatory. By acquiring suitable hardware and software embedded with internet connectivity this gap will be reduced up to the expectation.

Developing Learning Resources Utilization Center (LRUC)

LRUC has been identified as one of the weak links in the polytechnic education process. The students do not feel the sense of accomplishment due to lack of available resources. Therefore improvement in this area is, of vital importance.  The learning resources procured through this scheme will also be beneficial for the faculty too.

It is expected the learning resources procured through this scheme will help students in better understanding course contents and also be building confidence in the students to become professional technician.

Under the above thrust areas the Institute submitted the proposal of approx. Rs. Two Crore for the Upgradation of the institute.
